Gather Your Tools and Materials

Allow the Adhesive to Dry
Once all tiles are laid, allow the adhesive to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. This is typically 24-48 hours.
Apply Grout
Mix your grout according to the manufacturer's instructions. Using a rubber grout float, apply the grout diagonally to the tiles, forcing it into the gaps. Remove excess grout with the float.
Clean the Tiles
After 15-30 minutes, clean the tiles using a damp sponge. Rinse and wring out the sponge frequently to avoid spreading grout. Allow the grout to dry for 72 hours before washing again to remove any haze.
Seal Your Tiles
Once the grout is completely dry, apply a sealant to protect your tiles. This is especially important for natural stone tiles. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application and drying times.
