Transform Your Bathroom: A Step-by-Step Guide to Tiling with Small Tiles
Embarking on a bathroom renovation project? Tiling your bathroom floor with small tiles can add a touch of elegance and sophistication. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process, ensuring a professional finish that will last for years to come.
Gather Your Tools and Materials
Before you start, ensure you have all the necessary tools and materials. For small tiles, you'll typically need:

- Thinset mortar
- Tile adhesive
- Tile spacers
- Tile cutter or wet saw
- Trowel
- Notched trowel

Prepare Your Bathroom Floor
Start by removing any existing flooring and ensuring the concrete slab is clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Fill any cracks or holes with a concrete patch compound. Allow the patch to dry completely before proceeding.
Lay Out Your Tiles

Apply Grout
Once the tiles are fully cured, it's time to apply the grout. Mix the grout according to the manufacturer's instructions, then use a rubber float to spread it over the tiles, working diagonally to force the grout into the joints. Allow the grout to set for the recommended time, then wipe off any excess with a damp sponge.
Seal and Clean
After the grout has cured, apply a sealer to protect it from moisture and stains. Allow the sealer to dry, then clean the tiles thoroughly to remove any remaining grout haze. Your bathroom floor is now ready to be enjoyed!
