Black Bathroom The Block

A black bathroom wasn't on our bingo card for The Block 2024, but "black, black, black, black, black" is exactly what Kylie and Brad delivered in week one. The five teams were tasked with creating a main bathroom for the first room reveal in the holiday homes they're creating on Phillip Island in Victoria. F rom the get-go, there was only one way to describe the inspiration behind Kylie and Brad's bathroom: black.

It was certainly a bold decision for their first room on The Block 2024, but the married parents. But as it turns out on The Block you don't have to ask your parents for permission, so Kylie got to planning her emo/gothic guest bathroom which she described as "predominantly black" - meaning black toilet, black bath, black sink, black vanity, black soul, black heart etc. I'll give $2 to the person who can guess Kylie's favourite colour.

Moving on to Kylie and Brad 's divisive all-black bathroom, which was criticised heavily by Marty Fox. It wasn't the room they all hoped for the first challenge, but the Blockheads ploughed through Week 1's Guest Bathrooms with the bar set high.Watch full epis. This sophisticated design is beautifully complemented by wooden floorboards and subtle wooden accents within the cabinets and furniture.
