Sable is an extremely rare coat color for Siberian huskies. The undercoat is a shade of red or copper, and the guard hairs are banded with red near the roots and black at the tips. Sable dogs have a red, chocolate or orange undercoat (whereas wolf greys have a beige undercoat).
Points (eye rims, nose and lips) are black. Individual guard hairs are banded (each strand has multiple colors). Also referred to as "black nosed reds".
