Which inflatable boat to choose for recreation

Own dinghy, why not?
Using this form of spending free time does not mean that we always have to rent such equipment. More and more people see the benefits of having their own inflatable boat. The high intensity of using this type of recreation will quickly make us realize that each time the cost of renting such equipment is not cheap and in the long run it may even exceed the possible purchase of a pontoon.

Another argument in favor of the decision to buy a pontoon is the possibility of 100% adaptation of such equipment to our needs - due to the variety of models available on the market, we cannot always be sure whether the rented pontoon will suit us completely. We are able to eliminate such a problem only by purchasing a pontoon tailored to our needs.

Types of inflatable boats
Anyone interested in buying an inflatable boat will quickly notice that there are several types of inflatable boats available on the market. This type of equipment is generally divided according to its intended purpose. Among the inflatable boats we distinguish basically:

1. Recreational dinghy
Equipment designed primarily for relaxation and fun in free time. Such pontoons are usually made of plastic (usually PVC), although there are also rubber pontoons. Recreational pontoons are dedicated rather to calm waters and, according to specialists, are not a good choice for open waters, where they are exposed to the effects of large gusts of wind and high waves. Often, an engine cannot be mounted to such pontoons.

2. Fishing dinghy
As the name suggests, this equipment is intended for fishing enthusiasts. It is equipped with additional reinforcements and, as a rule, an additional motor can be placed in it.

3. Dinghy to the sea
Equipment intended for sea basins. Due to the conditions at sea, completely different from those of inland reservoirs and rivers, they are characterized by much greater durability (wooden-aluminum or fully aluminum floor) and practically always have an engine.

4. Specialized pontoon
It is equipment used mainly by professional divers or specialized rescue services. Such pontoons are characterized by a number of accessories and structural reinforcement, such as a floor, the overall strength of which enables the transport of diving or rescue equipment.
They have fast engines and a number of amenities depending on its purpose (rescue pontoon, fire fighter, divers etc.).

Pontoon - which one to choose?

The choice of the pontoon that is right for us should therefore depend on our needs. If we plan to go on vacation with the family, a recreational pontoon is dedicated to us, which is also supported by its compactness and weight, enabling it to be easily packed in the car.

If we intend to use a pontoon for fishing, we should choose a fishing pontoon, and if we intend to use a pontoon at sea, we should choose one that meets all the conditions for this. Specialized pontoons, on the other hand, are rather targeted at people working in a profession that requires such equipment.
