Baby clothes are made of jersey fabrics that would not stay true to size so interspacing plain white cotton fabric helps stabilize them. I was thinking about this project for a couple of months – playing in my mind how I would like my quilt to look, trying to decide which clothes to use, and choosing fabrics that the baby clothes pieces would be appliqués onto.
