Bathroom Mixer Tap Not Getting Hot

A little while ago I had my conventional boiler upgraded to a combi. Since then I've encountered several problems with my plumbing. One issue is that since the upgrade, my mixer tap in the bathroom has stopped giving hot water.

I pointed this out to the plumbers that upgraded my boiler before. Hi, We have a mixer tap for the main bathroom upstairs and for around a year now it has not provided hot water. This is a new-build house which we moved in to 3 years ago and w had no issues prior to a year ago.

I think it is time to fix it 😅 The sink right next to the bath provides hot water. I've got a bath mixer tap but the hot water side went to a trickle and has now stopped. Cold water side is fine.

To be honest it didn't get much use because we tended to use the shower more. Sink tap hot water is fine although needs replacing for other reasons. I've got a combi boiler so i've looked online and the air block trick doesn't work apparently.

The tap had been replaced before due to the above issue where the hot water tap stopped working. At that time, I thought the hot tap of the mixer was broken. Now the same thing is happening again.

It was a gradual. All the other hot taps in the house produce extremely hot water but not the bath tap. I have tried turning down the flow and no matter what the flow, temperature still remains low.

I have resorted to filling the bath with a pan from the sink as the tap in the sink is red hot! My bathroom is fed by 22mm hot and one of those ancient black alkathene pipes (I'm not sure what size) from the cold main. My bath hot supply is teed off a 22mm copper pipe and runs at 22mm to a flexi to the bath thermostatic mixer tap.

A few months back now I had problems with a bath mixershower. Anyway the problem was that the water was either too hot or too cold. You could try for ten minutes fiddling to get the temperature right but it wouldn't happen.

Plumbing Bath tap not getting hot Anonymous user 23 February 2024 - 3.44 PM I have moved into an old build house, since we moved in our bath hot tap stays warm. It gets hot for like 2 seconds then back to warm. Every other tap in the house gets hot hot.

I have looked at the valve and even changed it with the cold one but still not change. Hi, Thanks for the response It's a combi boiler and its a basin mixer tap that isn't heating up the hot water. When you turn either tap water comes out and at the right pressure but the water just isn't heating up when turned to hot.
