[00:08.200 --> 00:09.200] Foreign Minister S.M. [00:09.200 --> 00:12.840] Krishna writes to the family of Anuj Bidve, who was killed in the UK, assuring all help [00:12.840 --> 00:16.400] in bringing back the body, the government will bear the expenses. [00:16.400 --> 00:20.560] Anna Hazari may still be waiting for parliament to pass a strong anti-corruption law, but [00:20.560 --> 00:27.720] he has named a baby in his native village, exactly that, Lokpal. [00:27.720 --> 00:30.520] Hello and welcome, I am Ketki Angre, our top story. [00:30.520 --> 00:34.760] The war of words that we saw in the Rajasabha till the early hours of Friday morning has [00:34.760 --> 00:36.440] not died out. [00:36.440 --> 00:40.960] Political leaders, whether it's the government or the opposition, members of team Anna, everyone [00:40.960 --> 00:45.480] continues to speak out their mind on the moves that resulted in the Lokpal bill not [00:45.480 --> 00:48.760] going through this parliament session. [00:48.760 --> 00:53.280] If that was freedom at midnight, this was literally freedom at midnight. [00:53.280 --> 01:12.240] Here is a case where the assassins are blaming the victims. [01:12.240 --> 01:36.080] But last night what we saw through the day was another 10 letter word and that was a [01:36.080 --> 01:37.080] caricature. [01:37.080 --> 01:45.440] Now, if after 27th of December there has been a change of mind on that issue, as I said [01:45.440 --> 01:59.440] earlier, it's a matter that we need to sit and talk with the TMC. [01:59.440 --> 02:27.840] As a political party, as a political party, as a political party, we will force the government [02:27.840 --> 02:46.080] to leave the throne and make new elections. [02:46.080 --> 02:51.320] And as the blame game continues over who's responsible for the midnight fiasco, NDTV's Rahul Srivastav [02:51.320 --> 02:55.880] has exclusive details on what led to the disruption. [02:55.880 --> 03:01.600] Perhaps the government, till the end, till what we are hearing, till 11.45 in the night, [03:01.600 --> 03:06.240] did not tell the chairperson or the Rajasabha secretariat whether it was interested in passing [03:06.240 --> 03:07.240] the bill. [03:07.240 --> 03:12.080] If we go back last year Vishnu, if you remember that there was a very clear indication after [03:12.080 --> 03:17.120] a nudge from Sonia Gandhi, the UPH chairperson, that the Congress wanted the women reservation [03:17.120 --> 03:18.440] bill to be passed. [03:18.440 --> 03:22.480] And then the clear indication was sent to the Rajasabha secretariat and the Rajasabha [03:22.480 --> 03:23.480] chairman. [03:23.480 --> 03:27.360] And then what had happened, if you remember, that when members started protesting, tried [03:27.360 --> 03:32.080] to stall, marshals were called inside the house, and the people who were protesting [03:32.080 --> 03:35.800] were taken out, and then the bill was put to vote, and the bill had sailed through the [03:35.800 --> 03:38.960] Rajasabha, though it is yet to come up in the Lok Sabha. [03:38.960 --> 03:42.840] Perhaps Vishnu, that clear indication was lacking, and that is why the chair could not [03:42.840 --> 03:44.240] decide which way to go. [03:44.240 --> 03:48.080] The second crisis arose when what to do about the extension of the house because speakers [03:48.080 --> 03:51.960] were speaking till virtually as late as 11.15 in the night. [03:51.960 --> 03:58.400] The government went to the chairperson, chairman, Mr. Rajasabha, and told him at 11.42 that [03:58.400 --> 04:01.600] the government does not want an extension of the session. [04:01.600 --> 04:07.080] What it meant that barely 15 minutes before the clock would take 12 or midnight, the chair [04:07.080 --> 04:09.400] did not really know which way to go. [04:09.400 --> 04:11.680] The bill does not really die. [04:11.680 --> 04:14.960] It remains alive for five months, 29 days. [04:14.960 --> 04:17.880] That means within six months it can be taken up again. [04:17.880 --> 04:20.040] That's good news for the Lokpal bill. [04:20.040 --> 04:24.680] But perhaps that within six months the debate can start all over where it had left off in [04:24.680 --> 04:25.760] the Rajasabha. [04:25.760 --> 04:28.840] The adjournments can be taken up, but there is a right of Vishnu. [04:28.840 --> 04:34.440] That perhaps given the fact that it's a contentious bill and the Lokpal and the budget session [04:34.440 --> 04:38.560] is a very crucial session for the government, perhaps the government's first indication [04:38.560 --> 04:41.600] which we have got is that budget first, Lokpal next. [04:41.600 --> 04:46.280] So that is why the second half could well be the time of the budget sent when the Lokpal [04:46.280 --> 04:48.720] bill can come up. [04:48.720 --> 04:52.840] In the hour of the storm, the government says the Lokpal bill is not in cold storage. [04:52.840 --> 04:59.480] But as Sandeep Pukhand explains, the budget session in March comes with its own complications. [04:59.480 --> 05:03.080] The UPI never had the numbers to push through the Lokpal bill in the Rajasabha. [05:03.080 --> 05:07.360] The picture was further complicated by the Trinamool Congress who refused to support [05:07.360 --> 05:09.320] the government bill. [05:09.320 --> 05:14.400] But predictably for the government, the BJP became the main villain of the peace. [05:14.400 --> 05:19.720] So does all this effectively mean that the Lokpal bill has been put to sleep at the stroke [05:19.720 --> 05:21.360] of midnight? [05:21.360 --> 05:25.040] For the record, the government says it will try to revive the bill in the next session [05:25.040 --> 05:27.360] of parliament and the budget session of parliament. [05:27.360 --> 05:32.400] But the key question is, will the government bring such a controversial bill that may end [05:32.400 --> 05:39.400] up the political class, especially at a time when it has to pass important economic legislations [05:39.400 --> 05:42.400] like the budget and the food security bill? [05:42.400 --> 05:44.920] That's the key question. [05:44.920 --> 05:49.360] In a decisive setback to the Army Chief, General V.K. Singh, the Defence Ministry has formally [05:49.360 --> 05:52.920] rejected his appeal seeking to correct his date of birth. [05:52.920 --> 05:58.480] This means he will have to retire in May 2012, but he can now approach the courts. [05:58.480 --> 06:02.880] General Singh has also met Finance Minister Pranam Mukherjee. [06:02.880 --> 06:06.520] My colleague Sudhiranjan Sen has the details. [06:06.520 --> 06:10.400] Defence Ministry has officially today communicated to the Chief of Army staff that is statutory [06:10.400 --> 06:17.800] complaint in which he had said that his date of birth or the year of birth is 1951 and 1950 [06:17.800 --> 06:18.800] cannot be accepted. [06:18.800 --> 06:23.920] The Attorney General has said since he was made a Chief of Army staff with the consideration [06:23.920 --> 06:27.920] or with the calculation that he was born in 1950, it cannot be changed at this stage. [06:27.920 --> 06:31.800] This opinion had been conveyed to the Ministry some time ago. [06:31.800 --> 06:33.460] Today it has been communicated. [06:33.460 --> 06:38.160] In this statutory complaint, the Army Chief had made it very clear that he is not fighting [06:38.160 --> 06:43.800] for tenure because if his age and which is there in his matriculation certificate as 1951, [06:43.800 --> 06:45.200] he gets another year. [06:45.200 --> 06:48.200] But in this statutory complaint, the Chief has made it very, very clear that he is not [06:48.200 --> 06:53.480] fighting for tenure, but it is his personal honour that he is fighting for because he [06:53.480 --> 06:59.280] says or the Army believes that if the Chief of Army staff's age is being doubted, what [06:59.280 --> 07:04.040] he has stated is being doubted, then you are doubting the Chief's intention and the entire [07:04.040 --> 07:07.240] office of the Chief of Army staff is under a cloud. [07:07.240 --> 07:13.000] So it's basically a question of personal honour that the Chief has been fighting for. [07:13.000 --> 07:17.640] After being targeted relentlessly over allegations of favouring a former client, the Home Ministry [07:17.640 --> 07:22.800] has asked all officers to show drafts of letters if the letter says that a decision has the [07:22.800 --> 07:25.640] approval or concurrence of the Ministry. [07:25.640 --> 07:30.240] Shraddambaram has said his Ministry has issued a directive to all officers that when a draft [07:30.240 --> 07:34.520] is being prepared and finalised with a note that this issue has the approval of the Home [07:34.520 --> 07:42.840] Minister or Home Secretary, the draft must be put up to either of the two. [07:42.840 --> 07:49.240] At least 27 people were killed after Cyclone Thane hit North Coastal Tamil Nadu early on [07:49.240 --> 07:52.040] Friday, leaving a trail of destruction. [07:52.040 --> 07:57.160] The Cyclonic storm is weakening over land, but rains are expected to continue in the [07:57.160 --> 08:09.840] coastal districts of the state and also in southern Andhra Pradesh over the next 24 hours. [08:09.840 --> 08:14.600] They have a creek by Cyclone Thane that crossed coastal Puducherry and Kadaloo district of [08:14.600 --> 08:17.160] Tamil Nadu early on Friday. [08:17.160 --> 08:21.600] The wind speed was upwards of 120 kilometres per hour. [08:21.600 --> 08:28.280] As far as the next 24 hours is concerned, it is likely to rain at most, at many places [08:28.280 --> 08:34.240] in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, one or two places may experience heavy, very heavy rainfall. [08:34.240 --> 08:38.160] Early in the morning tomorrow is when Med Department officials say Cyclone Thane will [08:38.160 --> 08:42.280] make landfall and that's in the coastal district of Kadaloo, anywhere between Puducherry and [08:42.280 --> 08:43.280] Kadaloo. [08:43.280 --> 08:47.240] And this rainfall is expected to last till afternoon or tomorrow evening. [08:47.240 --> 08:52.480] Of course, people have been asked to stay in shelters, government has taken precaution [08:52.480 --> 08:58.480] to move the people in the coastal districts off to safer places, of course heavy rainfall [08:58.480 --> 09:01.440] expected and also very high speed winds. [09:01.440 --> 09:07.360] Some 250 coastal villages inhabited by fishermen had been put on high alert and there was [09:07.360 --> 09:34.040] fear all night long, several hundreds were evacuated. [09:34.040 --> 09:44.840] The full extent of the damage wreaked by Cyclone Thane is still to be assessed. [09:44.840 --> 09:48.120] People say they have not seen such a cyclone in several years. [09:48.120 --> 09:52.640] But the worry is going to be about the days ahead because many of these fisher folk along [09:52.640 --> 09:57.640] the coast have lost their livelihood because the catamarans and the boats have been destroyed. [09:57.640 --> 10:09.960] The capital woke up to a wide blanket of fog on Friday morning as visibility dropped, disrupting [10:09.960 --> 10:11.760] rail and air traffic. [10:11.760 --> 10:16.640] As many as 75 flights were delayed and 40 trains cancelled, the Med Department has said [10:16.640 --> 10:21.000] the fog is likely to continue into the new year. [10:21.000 --> 10:26.360] A relatively warmer morning in Delhi but as the temperature went up to 6.8 degrees, dense [10:26.360 --> 10:30.560] fog closed in, affecting road, rail and air traffic. [10:30.560 --> 10:34.440] Visibility at the airport dropped to below 50 metres and many flights had to land using [10:34.440 --> 10:37.960] the Kathri B landing system. [10:37.960 --> 10:43.240] On the whole, 75 flights were delayed, 15 cancelled and 7 flights diverted. [10:43.240 --> 10:46.760] Problems people are facing while driving. [10:46.760 --> 11:03.840] At the railway station, things were no different, over 40 trains were cancelled and an equal [11:03.840 --> 11:08.040] number either running late or diverted, leaving many passengers stranded. [11:08.040 --> 11:12.360] Well, we hear the announcements that, sorry about the inconvenience but the trains are [11:12.360 --> 11:15.240] going to be delayed, the situation has got to do with the fog. [11:15.240 --> 11:20.200] We see the fog clearing but nonetheless, a lot of the trains are still coming in late, [11:20.200 --> 11:21.200] they are passengers out here. [11:21.200 --> 11:32.680] But the worst affected was atar Pradesh, in Mathura, four people died in a road mishap [11:32.680 --> 11:34.200] due to fog. [11:34.200 --> 11:38.560] And in neighbouring Shahjahanpur, another road accident due to blinding fog claimed five [11:38.560 --> 11:39.560] lives. [11:39.560 --> 11:43.520] The Med Department has forecast fog over the next few days, affecting new year plans of [11:43.520 --> 11:45.160] most commuters. [11:45.160 --> 11:50.440] Athena Gambhir, Umi Kholsoom, NDTV. [11:50.440 --> 11:55.360] The Ministry of External Affairs has stepped in to assist the family members of Anuj Bidve, [11:55.360 --> 12:00.680] an Indian student who was brutally shot dead in Manchester City in UK last week. [12:00.680 --> 12:04.960] The consulate in Birmingham is expediting the visa process for two members of Anuj's [12:04.960 --> 12:11.360] family and will also bear their travel expenses. [12:11.360 --> 12:16.280] A murdered son, and now the torturous wait for his body. [12:16.280 --> 12:21.680] The family of 23-year-old Anuj Bidve, a victim of hate crime in the United Kingdom, urging [12:21.680 --> 12:26.160] the government to exert diplomatic pressure on authorities in Manchester to release their [12:26.160 --> 12:28.600] son's body at the earliest. [12:28.600 --> 12:32.960] The Ministry of External Affairs has asked the Coroner's Court to expedite the process [12:32.960 --> 12:35.800] and has promised to bear all expenses. [12:35.800 --> 12:40.160] The Lancaster University has told the MEA that they will return Anuj's tuition fees. [12:40.160 --> 12:46.680] UK Police wants us to be coming there because they have a process of body identification [12:46.680 --> 12:51.000] and we will also try and get Anuj back with us. [12:51.000 --> 12:55.960] Meanwhile, unlike the counterparts in Australia, where several Indians have been attacked, the [12:55.960 --> 12:59.080] British police was quick to treat the murder as a hate crime. [12:59.080 --> 13:06.120] We've not yet established a clear motive for this murder and there is no evidence or [13:06.120 --> 13:09.520] information at this time to suggest it's racially motivated. [13:09.520 --> 13:15.800] However, because of concerns in the community and perceptions in the community, we are going [13:15.800 --> 13:19.760] to treat treating this as a hate crime. [13:19.760 --> 13:25.600] For the family back in Pune, the wait getting that much harder to achieve closure. [13:25.600 --> 13:32.560] In the last two decades, the UK has seen race crime rates go down considerably, but it still [13:32.560 --> 13:38.760] continues to be a very real threat and this is something that the Home Office will have [13:38.760 --> 13:44.080] to take into account when it starts to probe the murder of Anuj Britve. [13:44.080 --> 13:48.440] Of course, the police investigation which is currently on has admitted that it is a race [13:48.440 --> 13:53.720] crime but is also according to sources saying that they're looking into whether it could [13:53.720 --> 13:57.640] be a gang initiation. [13:57.640 --> 13:58.640] Time for a break. [13:58.640 --> 14:12.920] The next few days continue on the other side. [15:36.000 --> 15:55.160] I am at the same spot where two trains collided last night this is the motor van of the train [15:55.160 --> 16:06.240] which has got completely mangled. [16:06.240 --> 16:11.440] The sheer scale of destruction inside Sri Lanka's last no fire zone is evident that the blood [16:11.440 --> 16:20.920] of innocents was built here. [16:20.920 --> 16:39.020] He is [16:39.020 --> 16:42.020] If ever there was a watershed, it is now. [16:49.020 --> 16:51.020] It is the show that everyone has been waiting for. [16:51.020 --> 16:52.020] What do you think ladies and gentlemen? [16:52.020 --> 16:54.020] This is Anisha and this is me. [16:54.020 --> 16:55.020] Are you ready to fall? [16:55.020 --> 16:58.020] I've always believed that you are single until you get married. [16:58.020 --> 16:59.020] They're all clap traps. [16:59.020 --> 17:01.020] He's going to come and he's just going to sweep me. [17:01.020 --> 17:02.020] All the women are powerful. [17:02.020 --> 17:04.020] I'm quite nervous about facing people. [17:04.020 --> 17:05.020] What will you give Katrina? [17:05.020 --> 17:07.020] I'll give you this dress. [17:07.020 --> 17:08.020] You make me blush. [17:08.020 --> 17:09.020] I will change that. [17:09.020 --> 17:12.020] Breaking news only on Night Out. [17:12.020 --> 17:13.020] You got it for me. [17:13.020 --> 17:14.020] You're watching Night Out. [17:14.020 --> 17:15.020] Yes, we are Night Out. [17:15.020 --> 17:16.020] Night Out. [17:16.020 --> 17:18.020] Weeknights at 6. [17:20.020 --> 17:22.020] We are the smartest, toughest, strongest. [17:22.020 --> 17:23.020] Hello common man. [17:23.020 --> 17:25.020] I'm busy right now. [17:25.020 --> 17:28.020] It's great to have politicians at our mercy. [17:28.020 --> 17:31.020] Our party is earning. [17:31.020 --> 17:32.020] I'm not. [17:37.020 --> 17:38.020] Welcome back. [17:38.020 --> 17:42.020] There was a lot more to this year than India lifting the Cricket World Cup. [17:42.020 --> 17:47.020] Here's a look back at all the highs and lows of Indian sports in 2011. [17:47.020 --> 18:06.020] After the highs of 2010, 2011 was a relatively quieter year for Indian sports. [18:06.020 --> 18:08.020] Ranjan Sodhi let his gun do all the talking. [18:08.020 --> 18:13.020] The trap shooter became the first Indian to successfully defend his World Cup title. [18:13.020 --> 18:19.020] It was a different story altogether for Saina Neval. [18:19.020 --> 18:24.020] She didn't win a single major tournament but reached the final of the year ending World Super Series. [18:24.020 --> 18:27.020] A good sign we'd say going into the year of the Olympics. [18:27.020 --> 18:31.020] I'm confident that we'll get her back on track as quickly as possible. [18:33.020 --> 18:38.020] Saina's fellow shuttlers Jwala Gupta and Ashwini Ponapadho had an impressive run. [18:38.020 --> 18:43.020] Their doubles bronze was India's first medal at the World Championships in 28 years. [18:45.020 --> 18:48.020] Stars failing to shine bright was the trend in boxing as well. [18:53.020 --> 18:55.020] But new stars were born in the ring. [18:55.020 --> 19:00.020] Vikas Krishan became just the second Indian boxer after Vijendra to win a World Championship medal. [19:00.020 --> 19:13.020] The man most synonymous with Indian football bid farewell to the game and it will probably be impossible to fill Baichung Bhutya's shoes. [19:18.020 --> 19:24.020] The year began in terrible style for the Indian football team being knocked out of the AFC Asian Cup. [19:24.020 --> 19:30.020] That was followed by a musical chair of sorts of national coaches. [19:33.020 --> 19:38.020] The end though was a happy one with the sixth SAF Championship title win at home. [19:41.020 --> 19:43.020] Who runs hockey in India? [19:43.020 --> 19:45.020] Never mind if you can't answer that one. [19:45.020 --> 19:52.020] But will India qualify for the 2012 Olympics? [19:52.020 --> 19:54.020] Well, we certainly hope so. [19:54.020 --> 20:00.020] But to do that they'll have to do better than just one tournament win and one final appearance in a year. [20:02.020 --> 20:04.020] Here's someone who almost found the bullseye. [20:04.020 --> 20:08.020] Deepika Kumari missed out on a World Cup cold by a whisker. [20:11.020 --> 20:14.020] Another Deepika, Palikal, had a great year. [20:14.020 --> 20:19.020] Three Whisper titles and a quarter-final finish at the World Championships. [20:23.020 --> 20:31.020] Let's hope in the new year there are more hits and fewer misses as India aim to make London 2012 a memorable outing. [20:33.020 --> 20:36.020] Here's the weather update with Namrata. [20:36.020 --> 20:41.020] Hello and welcome. [20:41.020 --> 20:47.020] Dense fog conditions would occur over areas of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours. [20:47.020 --> 20:51.020] Minimum temperatures could go up by 2 to 4 degrees over the next couple of days. [20:51.020 --> 20:58.020] The minimum temperature in Delhi at 7 degrees today, Amritsar at minus 2 and Srinagar at minus 4 degrees. [20:58.020 --> 21:01.020] Mainly dry weather expected over the entire region. [21:01.020 --> 21:05.020] In the eastern region, plenty of sunshine likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Orissa. [21:05.020 --> 21:08.020] The minimum temperatures have increased over most areas here today. [21:08.020 --> 21:14.020] The minimum temperature in Patna at 9 degrees up by a couple of degrees since yesterday, Rachi at 12. [21:14.020 --> 21:17.020] In the northeast, mainly dry weather expected over most areas. [21:17.020 --> 21:22.020] In the southern region, the cyclonic storm Thane is likely to weaken in the next 12 hours, [21:22.020 --> 21:28.020] but very heavy rainfall expected over areas of coastal, Andhra Pradesh, coastal Tamil Nadu, North Tamil Nadu [21:28.020 --> 21:35.020] and wet weather also likely over areas of south, Intira Karnataka, Dryal Seema and areas of Kerala and Lakshwati. [21:35.020 --> 21:40.020] Maximum temperature in Chennai at 25 degrees and Puducherry at 26. [21:40.020 --> 21:45.020] Far in the western and central India, the minimum temperatures could rise by 2 to 4 degrees over central India [21:45.020 --> 21:50.020] during the next couple of days, mainly dry weather expected over Gujarat and the west coast. [21:50.020 --> 21:56.020] Mumbai nice and pleasant at 31 degrees and Panjim slightly warmer at 34 degrees today. [21:56.020 --> 21:58.020] Well, that's it on the weather report. [22:03.020 --> 22:06.020] Ahmedabad is the most polluted city in the country. [22:06.020 --> 22:09.020] The SPIM level at 399 micrograms per cubic meter. [22:09.020 --> 22:12.020] It has displaced Delhi since yesterday. [22:12.020 --> 22:17.020] Kolkapa at the second spot and Chandigarh, yet again the least polluted city in the country. [22:17.020 --> 22:20.020] Well, that's it on the air pollution report. [22:20.020 --> 22:24.020] That's all we have but we would like to end on a lighter note with our puppets [22:24.020 --> 22:30.020] who have decided to turn the biggest talking point this year into the year's most hummed and Google song. [22:54.020 --> 23:04.020] Why is Lokpal Lokpal very very weak? [23:04.020 --> 23:10.020] Government full of goona goona wearing khadi white. [23:10.020 --> 23:14.020] For republic all is night. [23:14.020 --> 23:17.020] Public future black. [23:17.020 --> 23:22.020] Why is Lokpal Lokpal very very weak? [23:22.020 --> 23:26.020] Rahul kya mammi, ready? [23:26.020 --> 23:32.020] Mamma mia, ah, only English ah. [23:32.020 --> 23:41.020] And the congress holding Lokpal, Anna full of fear. [23:41.020 --> 23:48.020] M.T. Raleigh, Sibble come, Anna reverse again. [23:48.020 --> 23:55.020] Power, power, so much power, I show to you power. [23:55.020 --> 23:56.020] One day? [23:56.020 --> 24:02.020] Chawa chawa, ok chawa, you better eat now ah. [24:02.020 --> 24:09.020] Oh god, I am dying now ah, she's happy how ah. [24:09.020 --> 24:16.020] This song is for faster boys ah, you don't have choice ah. [24:16.020 --> 24:21.020] Why is Lokpal Lokpal very very weak? [24:21.020 --> 24:28.020] Tell me, why is Lokpal Lokpal very very weak? [24:28.020 --> 24:33.020] Suparana, one, two, three, four. [24:33.020 --> 24:47.020] Pa ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby. [25:47.020 --> 26:15.900] So, when the shivasthil earlier today looked at and identified for us, a few starts from [26:15.900 --> 26:20.940] 2011 as the winners and losers which could be big big winners in 2012. [26:20.940 --> 26:27.580] Sarvendra's top best for 2012 are heavyweights like BHEL, RIL, HUL and HDFC. [26:27.580 --> 26:30.060] Why? Here's the reasoning as given by Sarvendra. [26:32.300 --> 26:37.580] Time to decipher what has happened in 2011 and what can be best made out of 2012. [26:38.620 --> 26:43.180] Here are some of our stocks that we think that would do well in 2012. [26:43.180 --> 26:47.980] The whole basis of the four stocks that we are about to discuss is the fact that [26:49.020 --> 26:53.820] our long term view that Nifty should base out somewhere around the 46-4700 levels [26:53.820 --> 26:59.340] still remains intact. So, till proven otherwise the medium term and the short term trend both are [26:59.980 --> 27:05.420] in just around the long term supports. So, first stock that comes to my mind is Bale. [27:05.420 --> 27:11.020] That is one stock that has completed a yearly setup. Minor targets on the downside say around [27:11.020 --> 27:16.140] 190-200 could be left. We would initiate longs on this one around 190-200. [27:16.780 --> 27:20.060] Aggressive traders can start accumulating from current levels itself. [27:20.700 --> 27:24.380] Stops can be placed around 174. Once those targets are completed on the downside, [27:24.380 --> 27:28.940] this stock could easily give you anywhere between 25-30% return in 2012. [27:29.580 --> 27:35.500] The next stock that comes to our name is Reliance. Reliance has got good supports around 680-700. [27:35.500 --> 27:42.060] Has been trading at 300-point parallel range over the last two years. We had broken below 900 [27:42.060 --> 27:46.620] over the last couple of months, but now setups look encouraging. The stock should pull back [27:46.620 --> 27:52.940] towards 900 in days to come. 664 remains a very, very crucial support and stop loss for this view [27:52.940 --> 27:57.020] because below 654, the stock can actually weaken and probably that was the time to [27:57.020 --> 28:01.660] relook at the Nifty itself. But going with the flow as of now, this stock would easily give you [28:01.660 --> 28:08.140] 900 plus going into the first two quarters of 2012. The other name that comes to our mind is [28:08.140 --> 28:13.900] HUL, been a very, very strong outperformer. The key point in 2011 for the stock was that it took [28:13.900 --> 28:19.420] out the high of 2000. So after 10 of the year 2000, after 10 long years, we have had a breakout out [28:19.420 --> 28:26.540] of 325. The breakout has been solid with volumes. So now any pullback towards 350-370 should be [28:26.540 --> 28:32.700] a good place to accumulate this stock. 42012 stops can be placed below 319 and this is a stock [28:32.700 --> 28:38.780] that could keep on running through 1213 and could give you returns of the prices upwards of 500 [28:38.780 --> 28:44.860] plus on this stock are definitely visible now. Next stock in mind is HDFC Bank, again an outperformer [28:45.580 --> 28:50.220] consolidating up to the 2008 highs. A small little bullish flag which is right now setting up [28:50.220 --> 28:58.220] over the last couple of months. [29:21.100 --> 29:29.980] Hello and welcome to this year-end special on the single biggest event of 2011. If there's [29:29.980 --> 29:36.060] one thing that this year will be remembered for, it's for the hope and it's still only a hope [29:36.620 --> 29:43.420] that in 2011 the fight against corruption in our country has finally begun in earnest and this [29:43.420 --> 29:51.420] fight against corruption became symbolic with one man, the 74-year-old Anna and for the government [29:51.420 --> 29:59.500] the year became the coin of phrase Anna Horribilis as the government bungled and botched and then [29:59.500 --> 30:15.500] buckled under pressure.
