Feather Duster On Zoa at Louise Phillip blog

Feather Duster On Zoa. i have a small zoa frag for past two months. reef central online community > coral forums > zoanthids: i've never seen these before but i recently bought this zoa plug and there are tons of small feather dusters on it. the best way to know if it's a feather duster is to touch the crown and it will retract. Yesterday i noticed a featherduster has setup home on this frag. last night i noticed 2 feather dusters/tube worms growing in the middle of my zoa colony. i am seeing these soft feather dusters and/or other long creatures on the base of my coral plugs, they also like to dig in underneath the monti. the topside has a zoa frag on it and i guess a crab must have knocked it over because i found the zoa laying face down. my colony of zoas are infested with feather dusters. There are about 1 feather duster per polyp.
