Chassis Saver Vs Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. I've used chassis saver on several rusty items. Eastwood has their new(ish) rust encapsulator platinum that claims to work on rust as well as bare metal. I also happen to know that rust bullet and chassis saver are really good products, as is eastwoods' rust encapsulator. Just requires a quick hit with wire brush to remove any loose particles, then goes on in one. Eastwood rust encapsulator this stuff's convenient since it comes in rattle cans, and it sprays on nicely and dries quickly (just a few minutes). If you go with eastwood, or ice that the heavy duty rust treatment has a waxy finish to it so it never gets hard. Doesn't seem to come in spray cans, though.
