E60 Boot Not Opening. I've read a few threads on here about a valet boot lock switch in the glove box, maybe worth switching it from unlock to lock &. I cannot hear the motor noise that is usually. I have lost the use of the automatic boot opening, frayed. How would a cable tie help open the boot? The problem is that i can only open the boot with my key that comes out of the fob thing (the physical key itself), i will run through.
