Canon R5 Not Sharp at Gemma Nock blog

Canon R5 Not Sharp. I am struggling with as good as this equipment is not getting the sharp pictures one would expect. Have the r5 since a couple of months. In the picturestyleeditor program that i downloaded from canon, if i open a cr3 file i can change all 3 unsharp mask parameters. Struggling to get sharp photos, but the quality is worse than my huawei phone. I just got a r5 and shooting w the rf50mm 1.8 lens, i'm noticing that often at 100% the eye looks a tad blurry, even at higher. It is also very useful to be able to zoom in to 100% view in the viewfinder when capturing images, to ensure that your subject is in focus. I set up mine to zoom to 100% (actual pixels) when i press this button, so that i can instantly see if my captured image is sharp or not. I've tried changing the settings using pros advice but still not as sharp as i'd expect.
