Zafira Clutch Pedal Not Returning. I replaced the gearbox cable at mechanic and after that the clutch box is not working properly. I don't know if it is just my specific car, or if anyone else has had this problem. First was a slightly sticky pedal. The clutch pedal is sinking and not returning back up occasionally and this is stopping me getting into gear. Join me as i take you through my clutch master cylinder issue and how i’ve took it out. I’m booked at vauxhall for an investigation which they’re charging £120. Possibly not useful, but we have a 17 plate 1.4t petrol and have had 2 problems with the clutch. The clutch pedal has a lot of loose travel before it stiffens up and engages. It had a new clutch plate. My 2015 zafira touring has developed a clutch problem. I find the clutch pedal 'heavy'. The fluid reservoir level is fine. So had to strip the clutch out. The pedal has dropped but still goes into gear without issues,. All the gears are very loose.
