Why Won't My Gsxr 1000 Start. Working on my 2007 gsxr 1000, bought it crashed but running. Replaced the subframe, clip ons, rearsets. When i started it recently, it idled for a few minutes before i started moving, then all of a sudden it cut off and now it doesn't start back up. If good, put one lead of a voltmeter on. Stalls at idle only when hot, won't restart when hot, very inconsistent idle, push starting, ect. Cranks but will not start. Changed the oil, filter, replaced the tank as the previous. When i would push start it the engine. Checked battery and have been charging it up each time it runs down and have been using a jumper pack for extra boost. Keep your multimeter across the terminals of the battery and attempt to start your bike, if the voltage drops down under load then. First, put a voltmeter on the battery terminals and run the starter, it should stay above 10.5 volts.
