Bmw Error Code $07 E8

My CEL came on this weekend on my 2010 E70 and I got to use my Foxwell for the first time and got $07E8 and $07EC error codes. I searched this forum and Google and got almost nothing. P1290 Code $07E8 Hey All, I have a 2013 BMW 320xi which is intermittently throwing the above mentioned P1290 $07E8 code.

I dont have a specific BMW scanner and from the information ive gathered P1290 is a generic top layer code that needs to be further diagnosed by a BMW scanner. Can anyone confirm this is correct? $7E8 & $7E9 aren't, in fact, engine codes at all.
