Grenadier Bmw Diesel

The Grenadier was designed to be a modern replacement for the original Land Rover Defender, with boxy bodywork, a steel ladder chassis, beam axles with long-travel progressive-rate coil spring suspension (front and rear), and powered by a petrol BMW B58 or diesel BMW B57 inline six turbocharged engine. The BMW partnership will see the company's TwinPower Turbo petrol and diesel engines, famed for their world-class blend of durability, performance and efficiency, feature under the bonnet of INEOS Automotive's off-roader. The announcement is a major step forward for INEOS' plans to build an uncompromising 4x4.

The Grenadier is powered by a choice of BMW six-cylinder engines; the 3.0L B58 inline 6 petrol engine and the 3.0L B57 inline 6 diesel engine. In the Grenadier, B57 diesel engine makes 183 kW of power (3250-4200rpm) and 550Nm of torque (1250-3000rpm). The upcoming Ineos Grenadier is a British-built, independently made off.

With permanent all-wheel drive and an excellent eight-speed ZF auto with low-range transfer case, the B57 diesel-powered Grenadier was more than up to task with getting this big ol' wagon over every obstacle. This oiler is already very accomplished, serving in the BMW 5 Series, 7 Series, X3 and X5. The Ineos Grenadier Diesel is powered by a BMW-sourced 3.0-litre inline-6 turbodiesel engine.

The motor (B57) produces 183 kW and 550 Nm, with power going to a permanent all. INEOS identified a gap in the market for a stripped back, utilitarian, hard-working 4X4 engineered for modern day compliance and reliability. We're building a serious off.

Building a better mousetrap Being the Trialmaster Edition Grenadier, Rohan's Ineos came from the factory with plenty of good kit as standard including front and rear locking diffs and the BMW turbo-diesel engine, so its capabilities were pretty good straight out of the box but there's always room for improvement, right? Ineos Automotive is using BMW B58 gasoline and B57 diesel engines to power the chassis cab version of its Grenadier Quartermaster truck. However, instead of building everything from scratch, they partnered with BMW for the powertrain.
