Are Javelin Boats Any Good. Any javelin owners out there? Yes, i still have my 1990 javelin 4.3 i/o ski boat. Just upgraded all of my electronics and a new trolling. 31 years later i still have the same boat. In the early years of production the were simply called javelin 400. Rides great, fishes great and very quick. My 409te w/225 has got to be the best boat that. The 389 w/150 was a good solid boat, just slightly underpowered. Saw a pretty good looking 19' on boattrader in nc. Looking to buy a new used boat after our 91 nitro's engine blew, and saw a 1997 17' javelin today for sale, looked like it was in good. The only reason for javelin ending to me was just a restructure. Great boat, and good on gas!. Its a my2000 javelin renegade 19fs and seems to be in good shape and below.
