John Deere Gator Bed Will Not Go Down. Rarely have any problems, but yesterday i wanted to check oil on one of them, touched the raise/lower switch on the dash board, and the bed raised. Dealer says there is no manual way to release the bed, the piston has to be disconnected (somehow.). I used information on this. I raked the rest of the dirt out but it wont go up or down. The bed does not lower. Then it raised about 6 inches and stopped. All 5 gear box bolts. The dump bed on our terex will not go up, we also have the red steering light and audible warning when truck is running. The bed will not lower. Is it likely to be a fuse? My best guess is the valve that keeps it from free moving either up or down when static is not releasing internally. My issue is that the electric hydraulic assembly that lifts the bed on my gator decided to disassemble itself today. I used the dump bed on my 2016 825i gator today. It sounds like the motor is running.
