Klr Axle Nut Size at Celia Powell blog

Klr Axle Nut Size. i am making a specialty axle nut wrench for dirt bike/ dual sport/ adventure travel applications. The rear nut is a 27mm,. i used 1 inch and 11/16 inch for the large nut and bolt, and 1/2 inch and 9/16 inch for the adjustment nuts. Can't seem to find it anywhere. i am a complete noob and am putting together a toolkit for my newly acquired '08 klr650. Not sure if it's the same as the older models as i believe they. So i grab the 19mm wrench and it's too small. stuff the head end into the axle and turn it or hold it with your 14mm open end wrench. i go to take off the rear axle nut and the 27mm wrench is too big. The other side is either a 25 or 26mm i think. anybody know the size of this offhand?? i know the chain side axle nut is a 19mm, hope i said that right. i think the axle is actually 22mm, but the nut is 27mm across the flats and needs 27mm socket.
