Can Am Belt Problems at Hunter Alvina blog

Can Am Belt Problems. I know several signs of a worn drive belt such as choppy & higher engagement & the belt slipping. As the day progressed i heard what is most likely the belt. There is a primary or drive clutch attached to the crank and there is a secondary clutch or driven clutch. If you've blown belt(s), i'd be looking at your cvt housing hot air outlet to see if it's clogged with belt bits and pieces restricting air flow. That being said, i do have a slightly higher engagement than it used to be. The can am belts are generally the best ones, but even your new one is showing signs of heat and slipping….it’s not going to last. I'd also make sure there is no melted rubber. Got in the can am yesterday and noticed a shudder when taking off.
