This retracts the EPB motor and resets the system for the new, thicker pads. I just dealt with this on my wife's Mazda 6. My internet google-fu doesn't find that there is a 'manual' way to place the EPB into service mode on Hyundai vehicles, and the only 'correct' way to place the EPB into service mode is with an electronic diagnostic tool ($$).
