Having owned an F80 M3 base, an F80 M3 CS and currently a G82 M4 Competition, here is my take. The G80 and G82 are identical from a performance standpoint, so comparing to my G82 instead of the G80 applies. F80: A little lighter, subjectively less polarizing styling, unhinged and loose rear end for a more raw experience.

I was looking at prices of F M3/M4s and they go for 57k-60k € and G M3/M4 go for 65k. If anybody switched from F series to G series I would love to know the differences, ty. I have had my F80 M3 Comp for a year now and absolutely love the car.
But had a short window of opportunity to px it for a year old G80 x drive with 2,800 miles. In the end the BMW Dealer wanted full dollar for the G80 and the px was a bit naff considering the F80 values have not dropped by much at all. I reckon I will get a G80 eventually.
