Unfortunately for the Japanese automaker Toyota, its early 2019 revival of the iconic Supra nameplate after a 17-year hiatus didn't go as planned with the GR Supra. Now part of the Toyota Gazoo. The Toyota FT-1 Concept was launched in 2014; although the GR Supra would not be released until five years later, car enthusiasts will immediately notice the striking resemblance between the two cars.

The Toyota GR Supra (model code J29/DB or A90/A91 for marketing purposes) is a sports car manufactured by Magna Steyr for Toyota since 2019. The fifth-generation Supra, the GR Supra was sold under and developed by Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) brand in collaboration with BMW.
