Ford Explorer Front Strut Noise at Curtis Carr blog

Ford Explorer Front Strut Noise. My st is making multiple noises from the front suspension that sounds like something is loose when going over bumpy. Alright, i have been noticing a subtle thud / clunk in my front end of my explorer (classic descriptor right?). It’s hard to describe but is a clicking noise. I had the lower control arms. I’m hearing this front end noise while turning right at slow or no speed. Only difference this time is that it is. For the past year, i have a clunking noise coming from the driver front over almost any surface which i can feel in my pedals. The noise appears when driving over bumps and when the vehicle is rocking/tilting from one side to another on a uneven road. Could be any ball joints or a bad hub. Hit each component until you find the one that’s making the sound. I have a 2015 explorer sport w/106k. You need to shake it down and see what’s loose. The front end is making clunking noises, not like a bad ball joint. I have a video of the noise but can’t figure out how to post it. I am now at 3000 miles and have the same noise, i suspect it’s the driver side strut mount.
