Sears Fiberglass Canoe. Their model number means nothing to anyone outside a sears store. I’ve been hanging onto my dads old sears canoe. Basically it was a canoe. I have an old 17’ fiberglass flat bottom canoe that was sold by sears as per the capacity plate. I built a wooden deck up. I believe dad was the original owner. My only experience with a sears fiberglass canoe (artificial birch bark finish) was to learn it’s not a good boat for white water. It was 14 feet long and 3 feet wide. Sears sold aluminum and fiberglass canoes. The research i have done tells me it was made in 1974, but can’t seem to find. 1979 sears fiberglass canoe….it measures 16 foot but believe it’s the 15 footer for the age it’s in absolutely wonderful condition the outside has. It’s green and says “free spirit” on both. I'm pretty sure my first jon boat was a sears gamefisher.
