Can You Still Buy Imron Paint at Eva Mcclain blog

Can You Still Buy Imron Paint. I recently saw two cars that had been painted with imron over ten years ago, and they looked like they had been painted yesterday! I’ve painted a couple boats and trailers with deltron.(same stuff). Imron® industrial strength, mix quality gn, is a high gloss, 0.3 lbs/gal voc conforming, low haps, polyurethane topcoat. I myself would lean more to using a arcylicurethane. Polyurethane is alot harder to cut and buff after it sits a little bit. I would second the reccomendation to use a single stage urethane to touch up on imron. If you’re going to cut and buff do it quick, that shit gets hard. It is way tougher than any car paint you can buy. If you shop carefully, you will be able to buy a good 2 part poly for about 1/2 the price of awlgrip and still end up with a sound paint job.
