Fiat 500 Trunk Wiring Harness. It has the ubiquitous tail gate wiring breaks. There are plenty of posts on the internet about the soft top and trunk issues, but my situation appears to be a bit unique. Those wires fray where the harness flexes at the roof panel and causes. I was a little shocked by what i saw so i took the attached photo. Bought a 2012 500c a few days ago, and need some help. #1 is the wiring harness near the driver's side hinge. I found this helpful youtube video. Before i tackled that i looked some more. Has anyone else have issues with the wires breaking where the harness goes from the rear hatch to the car body? On how to fix, the rear hatch wiring harness. Most places were saying it was the wiring harness (which is a gong show in itself). I cut out the original rubber wire harness between the cars body and the tailgate to reveal the wires. I'm reasonably good with spanners etc and it doesn't concern me that this needs.
