Subaru Cooling Fans Running Constantly. My '02's radiator fan is constantly cycling on and off, usually for very short periods (10 seconds or less). Fans run constantly when up to temp at idle even in cold weather. If the fans remain on for the same time, consistently, then it could be the ecu/kecm remaining on and, as the coolant temp was. The temperature is well within the normal range, just a little bit under half on the gauge. This seems like an easy fix, and i was looking for parts on rockauto.
