Disc Brake Lever Touches Handlebar. My lever nearly touches the handle bar on my hydraulic shimano xt disc brakes. I thought a fresh bleed might fix but no luck. If you find you have to pull hard on the brake lever to slow down, or it squeezes right into the handlebar, it's likely your brake cable needs. The levers (both) have to travel quite some distance before biting. I'm currently having a problem with my front brake lever where by when i use it i can pull it nearly back to the handlebars. When i pull the lever and keep applying constant pressure to it, it slowly retracts all the way to touch the bar. Any ideas what to try?
