Gsxr Speedometer Not Working. I have a 2001 gsxr 600 and recently the odometer and speedo stopped working. There the power comes straight from the r lead to the starter relay instead of passing through the signal fuse. My speedometer is not working either.i am thinking is the sensor though.2003 gsxr 600. So swapped sensors with a buddy before purchasing a new one my sensor worked in his bike and his did not work in mine so speed. The speedometer, trip meters and odometer were all working fine before the electrical short and going to the shop. You will need to pull that cover off to see if they actually installed the little crown nut that actually is the sensor for reading the speedometer.
