Rem 552 Grain Vac Review. I have a rem midwest 552 grain vac, it is a smaller unit but very simple and it sure beats the hell outa shoveling, couldnt take it. Been looking at rem 2500's, and also brandt 5000ex. Have heard good things about both. We made the switch from a rem to a brandt 7500 vac during harvest. I have a older model rem 552 vac, is faster than 7 inch auger, but like others said the more hose you add the slower it gets. Looking to add a grain vac to the lineup. Rem are the best ,not sure. If you put 12 miles of hose on, it will be painfully slow. Does anyone have experience with. Be kissing the bin and you will go far, very fast. Down to the rem vr12 or the brandt 1300hp. Brandt salesman says they have less. All i can say is. This is after owning 4 or 5 different rems.
