Perimenopause Insomnia Mumsnet. I came across an interesting mumsnet thread yesterday and the conclusion was a lot of supplements need more research. I am desperate for a solution to my insomnia which has been an ongoing issue for the last 2 years. Go and make a (preferably decaf) cup of tea, relax, read a little or watch something boring on tv. Then go back to bed to sleep. The other half i sleep. I started to struggle with insomnia completely out of the blue two years ago at age 42. Has anyone in this group. I’m 47 and presumably in perimenopause although i haven’t had particularly troubling symptoms. I’m perimenopausal, am on hrt, i find that the 2 weeks that i take the progesterone at night i sleep brilliantly!
