Comprehensive analysis of gene expression profiles revealed increased ...

Abstract Feline nasal lymphoma (FNL) is the most common nasal tumor in cats. Although some negative prognostic factors for FNL have been previously reported, further studies on its molecular pathophysiology are needed. In the present study, we conducted comprehensive investigations of gene expression profiles (GEPs) in FNL.

Gene ontology analysis suggested that differences in biologic aggressiveness of feline alimentary lymphomas are related to ECM regulation and cellular growth/metabolism and differential gene expression analysis further identified several genes potentially contributing to the biological behaviour of each lymphoma subtype.

Reduced expression of tumor suppressor gene CDKN1B (p27kip1), which controls the G1-S cell cycle checkpoint through inhibition of cyclin complexes, may correspond with acceleration of feline lymphoma development [42].

In cats, little information about the expression of Bcl-2 in follicular lymphoma exists. We investigated 18 follicular lymphomas histologically and immunohistochemically for the expression of Bcl-2, CD3, CD45R, and feline leukemia virus. Clonality was assessed by PCR for antigen receptor gene rearrangements.

Paired box gene 5 (Pax5) is a widely used B-cell marker for human and canine non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (nHL); however, in the literature there is only one case report using Pax5 in a cat B-cell lymphoma . The purposes of this study were to investigate the expression and detection of B-cell specific activator protein (BSAP) using a monoclonal anti-Pax5 antibody in feline nHL (FnHL) tissue samples ...

In conclusion, diagnosing feline HLL is challenging. The expression of CD30 and CD20 by RS cells should be considered a hallmark of the disease, but only after excluding differential diagnoses such as anaplastic B-cell lymphoma and granulomatous lymphadenopathy.

Moving forward, it's essential to keep these visual contexts in mind when discussing Feline Lymphoma Gene Expression.

Cats infected with exogenous feline leukemia virus (exFeLV) have a higher chance of lymphoma development than uninfected cats. Furthermore, an increased exFeLV transcription has been detected in lymphomas compared to non-malignant tissues. The ...

Investigations into understanding the genetics of feline cancers started with cytogenetics and was then expanded to studies at a gene -specific level, looking for mutations and expression level changes of genes that are commonly mutated in human cancers.

Abstract Fourteen feline nodal lymphomas previously diagnosed as Hodgkin-like lymphoma (HLL) were studied through histologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular analyses to further characterize feline HLL. The cohort comprised 12 domestic shorthair and 2 Maine coon cats, with a male/female ratio of 1.3 and a median age of 9.5 years.
