Hi; I have a 2006 K1200s that every once in a while you have to turn ignition off and on to get rid of the the flashing ABS brake failure light also when the light was flashing the brake would lose alot of there effectiveness.
ABS units are internally coded to work with a particular model, and they confirm that they are installed in that particular model by reading the pins shown below.
Just bought a clean 05 K1200S with 19k miles on the odometer for cheap. Doing some research for info to removal/delete on these later servo.

Once home, I tested the rear brake switch, seem to be working properly so decided to pull the ABS Module which is the vertical mount, iABS III. Once removed from the bike and on my workbench, I disassembled the unit and applied 12v to each motor. Sure enough the rear servo motor was toast.
