Hello, I have a 2014 428i with about 30,000 miles on it, very well taken care of. Today I went to put the top down and it got probably a little past halfway down and just stopped moving. The screen said retractable top not locked. I had a few things in the trunk, nothing big and nothing in the areas marked off where things shouldn't be. I removed everything anyways and still wouldn't move.
