Axle Lock Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I got a new one and tried the locker in the yard and it locked but kept on flashing and now it will now disengage. Yesterday while driving the dash warning light came on blinking that the rear axel lock was activated….also the rear axel light on. I endured all levels of the issue starting with the blinking lights, eventually followed by the svc locker error and finally full locker failure. All 4 jeeps immediately responded. In the case of the rubicon it has lockers in both the front and rear differentials which allow the driver to lock both of the rear. In my opinion, a rubicon, or any other vehicle with a selectable locker, works best when the locker is actuated or “turned on” for the few feet on the trail when you need it. To troubleshot if the locker is working, here is the procedure unlocked (1) block tires opposite the axle to be tested to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
