Jeep Rear Lights Not Working. It's not the bulb and there. First time on the forum and i don't know much about working on cars. Then turn on the parklights and use your test light to check for power at the plug. It flashes when locking or unlocking. Had many issues with the rear lights on my 2000 jeep wj. What else could it be? Tail light bulbs are replaced with incorrect bulb causing improper operation. Remove the taillights from the jeep and disconnect them at the plug. Have message that my right rear tail light is out, but it seems to be working fine. The new bulbs did not correct the problem. My right rear running light is not working even though the turn signal, brake and back up lights work. Quick question and it may sound easy but, my left tail light is out. If tail lights stay on continuously, the headlight/tail light switch or bcm has failed. The brake light and turn signal work just fine, and its not the bulb. Identify the light or lights that are non operational.
