Bmw Coolant In Honda

BMW blue coolant is Zerex G-48, as far as I know. Many BMW owners use G-05 with success, but G-48 is not the same. Volvo blue is also G-48, I believe.

No idea about Honda. My recollection from another reference thread: - G-48 has better compatibility with some plastics, in particular plastic water pump impellers - G-05 is nitrited, G. My son's coolant light came on.

Have the cooling system flushed and refilled with Honda antifreeze/ coolant as soon as possible. I have not checked the color of my '06 Ody's coolant, but am now interested in seeing what color it is. Cost wouldn't matter but I couldn't get BMW or Honda or other dealer coolant on a Sunday. Id just stick with what Honda uses, even in the aftermarket they need different coolants, so for some reason they dont recommend swapping. The Rowe or genuine that I put in BMWs doesnt cross to the Hondas, while the blue BMW will work in place of G11 in older VWs. The 20$ saved isnt worth the risk.

All is in the title. I will soon have to replace my coolant and what i have is one new jug from one brand and an a remaining opened jug from the previous flush from another brand. Coolant is MB 326.0/BMW GS 9400 blue coolant.

PS: It's been two years/60k km since the last flush, is it.
