Bmw Ht 12 Coolant Equivalent

Many vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles require FROSTOX HT-12 as their coolant. You can buy this from a dealer, but we also wanted to explain why Valvoline Zerex G40 is a suitable and easier. What is an approved BMW Coolant (GREEN in now) readily available at AutoZone or O'Reilly's? Will need to bleed & top.

Factory spec is HT-12, and that's what mine should have from the factory - but it is backwards compatible with the B48 coolant they used to use. Just wanted to make sure that Zerex HT-12 is the same thing as BMW HT-12! ZEREX HT-12 Antifreeze/Coolant from Valvoline is engineered with organic acid technology specifically for European vehicles requiring genuine HT-12 and G12evo fluid, including Audi, BMW, MINI, VW, and Porsche.

BMW is at it yet again. This time the ubiquitous blue coolant is to be phased out and a changeover to green has already begun. The new formulation is of HT-12 composition, whereas the old familiar blue coolant was G48.

According to BMW the green (not Prestone or new Zerex fluorescent green BTW). it depends, bmw now uses and recommends their HT-12 coolant which is green (since 2019 or so). Most generic universal coolants from parts stores are green too though and these are not recommended for bmw cooling systems.

I have an e92 2.0 m sport diesel, n47 engine I believe, I'm unsure which bmw coolant to use on it, since it's probably never been changed or at least not in a while. Any advice would be good.
