Bmw K1200s Coolant Level Check

I've had my '07GT for a few weeks now. Thought I would check the coolant level. Checked the owner's manual, and could not find any information on how to check.

With the help of my salesman, i found the overflow tank. I cannot see any fluid in it hot or cold. I removed the radiator cap and added.

Checking coolant level: According to my 2009 RepROM: (Shows diagram of cap on left side of bike, next to the back part of the faring. Can you add fluid to the radiator without having to re-pressurize the cooling system? I own a '04 K1200GT and sometimes it runs hot (needle close to red line).

I have already checked the. The coolant is being ejected out of the hose that exits behind the engine on the left side of the bike. Anyone had this problem?
