Bmw N63 Coolant Y Pipe

Green coolant is the same as BMW blue coolant and you are fine using it. The orange and pink coolant are what you don't want to use. Second thing, you might want to take a closer look and see if you have a coolant leak.

The N63's are common for the vent pipe between the cylinder heads breaking at the plastic y. I thought the Y plastic piece broke but I think it was just the slow leaks accumulated during the time it was sitting. However, I'm really happy I did this as I feel a lot more comfortable with.

Brass T fitting and new hose clamps to replace factory T fitting on turbo coolant hose and Y fitting on coolant vent hose, no more plastic T or Y fitting to brake and cause coolant leaks. A couple weeks ago I replaced the "y" fitting with a brass type. Check the hoses connected to this "y" and all looks good.

However my car still leaking from somewhere else and all I can see is that the wet area is the same: rear engine around the transmission bell housing. I have all the covers. N63 coolant leak All times are GMT -5.

These models use the updated N63TU engine, not the original N63 engine that came out in 2009. Note the years as the cooling system was re-designed on the later models.
