How Many Kms Bmw B58 Last

I'm seeing pre-LCI 540s with 80-100k miles go for 22-24k US, just how bad of an idea would it be to get one of these? I know the B58 is one of the most reliable engines BMW's ever made but my question is what are common issues should I be looking out for if I do get one of these? While no engine can last forever, the BMW B58 has proven to be a relatively durable and reliable powerplant. With excellent design, meticulous maintenance, and prompt repair of issues, a B58 can easily exceed 150,000 miles or more. Mine is only on 21k so still a new engine basically but for a BMW engine the B58 seems to have no significant reliability issues so far (touch wood).

As in milage, there are not too many but i have seen some B58 cars with 200.000+ km, quite a few on the used market. But i think the B58 is too young to say for sure, whether it's good for 200k or 500k miles. This is my first car with a more than average performance.

I don't mind the fuel costs, but I do mind the amount miles I'm doing. I'm worried about the longevity of it all. I love driving this thing, so much that I got 8000 miles in 5 months.

I even didn't drive certain trips I wanted to take because of this. I drive 60 miles on a normal work day, 80% of it on highways. I don't trash the car.
