PCV valve failing would be my guess. The B58 engine PCV valve can be changed out with after-market kits, although BMW makes a kit also (the BMW kit is expensive). One symptom of failing (or failed) PCV valve is the engine will run fine if cold, but runs rough once it warms up.

If the PCV valve is stuck open, the vacuum system wont work correctly.
