Radiosonde Soundings at Jeremy Fenner blog

Radiosonde Soundings. Maps and derived fields based on twice daily (00 and 12 utc) radiosonde data over the continental u.s. The integrated global radiosonde archive (igra) consists of radiosonde and pilot balloon observations from more than 2,800 globally distributed stations. The earliest data date back to 1905, and recent data become available in near real time from about 800 stations worldwide. The most common in situ sounding is a radiosonde, which usually is a weather balloon, but can also be a rocketsonde. Click on the image to request a sounding at that location or enter the station number above. An archive of seven days of data will always be available.
