Aligned Rectilinear Infill. It saves a good bit of time, but no one else seems to suggest this,. This infill pattern works similarly to the rectilinear infill but the last layers on all top surfaces are aligned in the same. I currently use grid for my infill but i see everyone on here talking about rectilinear, yet i don’t see this option. You can set the direction of skin and infill lines. So far i have managed to get a pretty good print by using aligned rectilinear / 100% infill for each layer, and keeping top and bottom to 1. This charts compares the strength with perpendicular load (top/bottom). I see that hoffman recommends 100% aligned rectilinear infill in direction of force. If all you want is a simple all infill printed in the same direction then set top and bottom layers to zero and then choose aligned rectilinear as the infill pattern with 100% density. Is there a hidden setting. Triangle, grid and rectilinear are stronger for vertical forces, but gyroid is stronger for horizontal forces.
