Ford Explorer Sport Trac Tonneau Cover Lock Replacement. I need to replace the lock on the rear of my factory tonneau cover. The key will not go down all the way. The rear lock on my factory tonneau cover is broken. I also need the rubber lock. Anyone know a part number. The vehicle is an '02 st. Disconnect the lock actuator housing from the lock cylinder and remove the tonneau cover latch release cable. I've attached a couple of pics of the lock. The ford part number for the cylinder lock for a sport trac cover is 7a2z7843432a. My factory bed cover with the two locking keys had the flapper on one of the key protectors finally tear off (overuse). My locksmith played with it for awhile but had no luck. Do a google and you will find it btw $60 and $100. Ok, i know this is a old thread, but i just purchased a 2007 sport trac and i need to replace the locks on the bed cover, mainly because i don't have the keys. Pretty sure that’s what i had done for my 2003 sport.
