Harley Brake Lever Not Returning. I’ve had some where the return port in the bottom of the master cylinder. Few weeks later, front brake lever now hard to pull, usually frees up after a few good squeezes but remains slow and feels like pushing. After depressing the pedal, it returns less than 1/2 way. Went for a little ride with my son after work. Front brake lever has less than 1/8 play, doesn't return fully into the housing after brake is applied, resulting in a constantly burning brake. If i manually push the lever back the brake light goes out. I noticed at one point there was a little round red light on the speedometer. When i had my 2004 road king, i had to clean the front brake master cylinder plunger. If a lever ends up with excess play and the brake light stays on, it's usually due to the brake light micro switch plunger (blakc plastic) getting. The front m/cyl plunger may not be fully returning. My brake lever isn't fully retracting back causing the brake light to stay on. Has your brake fluid been flushed within the last 2 years?
