Sr20Det Rocker Arm Noise. It seems like i have some major issues on my s14, i got this car now 6 months and it never saw the rev limiter in this time, until before 2 days. Install tensioner at tdc and rotate 2 full turns. It drops a rocker the rocker is broken, now i bought 8. This can either result in a broken rocker arm or the rocker arm getting dislodged entirely from its position. Hks 264's with matching springs. Biggest difference between p10 engine is you have the roller rocker arm engine. Below is a picture of the oem rocker arm. I got a replacement engine and transferred everything over bar lifters, rockers, shims etc but the noise still persists!? Some folk, in fact the majority are, extremely luck that they have never had a rocker arm go. Reinstall hla's, then rocker arms, then cam/cam caps. Now, i was at work when this happened, but they got the car to start and there was no more misfiring.but there was a slow but constant clicking noise. My sr20det engine has an annoying ticking noise which i can not figure out, i have bled the lifters twice and it has made no difference. When its time, its simply time!!
