Discovery 1 Oil Filter Leak. Hi, loosing that amount of oil in such a short space of time is a big leak, visible to the eye for sure. The seems to accumlate and drip at the bottom center point right between the transmission and the engine. Not the filter housing screw cap. So if i understand correctly you cleaned off the visible oil and after a run it was there again? But noticed i have a very mucky engine on front and down each side in. Timing chain is defo an oil (and should be filter too) change, as is any major/minor service. I'd be checking the timing. Can anybody help me with the reason why?
