Baby Room Downstairs at Jessica Marotta blog

Baby Room Downstairs. My room is downstairs and additional bedrooms are upstairs. I’m looking for experiences and setup advice from those of you who had/have your master bedroom downstairs (on the main floor) and nursery. Now that i have a child (2 yo), i really don't feel comfortable with dd room being upstairs. We have 4 bedrooms, but the master and other kids rooms are upstairs. We like having baby upstairs because when we’re downstairs doing things she doesn’t hear anything to wake up aka laundry, cooking food, cleaning etc. I think it would be a bigger pita to run up and downstairs to tend to the baby (who will likely get you out of bed a number of times during the night). Upstairs is a loft area that is directlly off of. Thankfully our baby also sleeps through the night so we don’t really have the waking up and dealing with that issue. I thought it would be much easier to have the baby's room. I have a 'great room' area with a large bedroom in the back of the house (currently a guest room).
